living in the now

Still rambling about running. Sometimes other things.

Retired

I won't go into great detail, but my old pal Duke is having to hang up his running paws for significant runs. He's been on many miles with me ... on trails, on hills, up a mountain, on the beach.

Yes, it's sad. It's really hard knowing early morning ventures are done. He may be able to head out for some really short jaunts up and down the street, but running a mile or 2 or 3 or 4 is out of the question now.

Fortunately, though, I can still share some great moments with him and reflect on some really great memories.

Post-run happy face.
