I can't tell you how many times in the past couple of years I have turned off my alarm in the middle of the night, or just after it goes off, to get more sleep and say "I'll run later."
Many of those days, I didn't run later ... or maybe I did and felt horrible because I hate afternoon and evening running.
It's time for those days to be over, and in the past few weeks I have found myself getting used to morning runs again.
It feels like a big WIN to get up and out the door before 7 a.m. There's a lot of work that remains -- I know I need to get up even earlier as summer rolls around so I can run more miles, but I'm really close to calling myself a "morning runner" once again.
I'm ALMOST there.
