5 miles - Where'd that come from?

With 18 weeks to go until the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon, it's very easy for me to lose focus right now. That was obvious in April. But tonight something happened, and I ran 5 miles. I haven't ran that far since the end of March. All I was really shooting for was 3 miles or so, but I felt great out there and went ahead and ran 5. I felt like I could have done more. I'm not sure where this sudden burst of energy came from, but it's been missing for the past four or five weeks. I'm glad it's back, for at least a day! It's also nice to get a long run out of the way on the first day of the week. It helps me feel a lot better with building up my long runs during the month to get back up to 7 or 8 miles. I also hope that it leads to me having more blog posts this month!
